Ray’s teaching addresses the business of being an artist, for emerging and established talent, working in photography and in all media, whether part- or full-time. His primary interest is in coaching new talent.
Teaching partners include colleges, not-for-profits, art centers, and art stores in the Pacific Northwest and across the US. Ray always offers a range of coming classes, in-person and online, including demos, workshops, and photo tours. He also offers tutorials, photo critiques, show curating, and business consulting.
Ray’s own photography focuses on nature, landscapes, and environmental issues. It is often used to conserve open space, natural habitats, and historic sites.
A native of New York City, Ray now lives on Vashon-Maury Island off Seattle.
